BENZOIN STYRAX

Styrax benzoin is emotionally calming and grounding and widely valued for its aromatic resin. Also being called the Gum Benjamin Gum. Styrax Benzoin Resin has traditionally been used in incense applications for example as an ingredient of the Hole Perfume used in the Tabernacle.

Origin: native to Southeast Asia

Aroma strength: Light-Medium
Aroma: smell rich, warm, slightly woody, creamy and has vanilla-like characteristics
Recommend dermal maximum: 2% by Tisserand

⚠️ Because it is so thick, it should not be used in nebulizing diffusers or any style diffusing apparatus that doesn't work well with thick oils.

• it can sometimes cause allergic reactions (contact dermatitis) in sensitive individuals. Always perform a patch test before applying it broadly, and ensure it is heavily diluted in a carrier oil (like jojoba or coconut oil) if using topically on your skin
